Silver Quails

I had to seperate mum and baby chicks from the male as he was killing the new borns. How long do I need to keep the chicks seperated from the other silver quails including dad????

It is probably best isolating the culprit attackers from those vulnerable in the nest, at until they reach juvenile stage. Just note there is an imbalance between sexes too eg a female will attack a lesser female and vice versa.
